3rd Grade
Third grade students are exposed to elelments of art and princples of design. They will explore appropriate media, techniques and process of creating artwork. They will be exposed to how to interpret and evaluate their works and others' work of art. They will be able to make connection among visual art and other subjects and daily life.
Techniques & Materials
In color theory experiment, students explored various techniques and materials. They experimented on the effect of watercolor on paper samples, crayon painting, pastel painting, watercolor pencil painting and regular colored pencil painting. They were able to create samples to help them understand the effect and differences in media and techniques.
Study of rainforest
This is a collage project. Students used colored craft paper and glue to create rainforest. In this project, students explored ecosystem in the rainforest and used their knowledge of that to create their rainforest collage.
