7th Grade

Seventh grade students are exposed to variety of media, techniques and processes that will enhance their knowledge in compositions and illustrations. Class work focuses on illustration and how to compose stories through the elements of art and principles of design.

Students will have opportunities to participate in contests and competitions at local, state and national levels. Students will explore and develop their skills in drawing, painting, sculpture and printmaking.

Students will also be able to investigate other cultures in art history and use the knowledge to create their images..

Students will be able to display their works at the end of each quarter for public viewing in the school.

Color Theory

 

Students explored history of colors and color formation. Students used their knowledge to create their colorwheels.

Assessment:

 

Students are observed and assessed based on participation in class, group discussions and completion of assigned work. All works are graded using rubric based on creating quality works, understanding the use of materials, following instructions and presentation of final works.
